Katie’s Dad was given the privilege of telling Katie’s story at the recent DP World Quiz at Orsett Hall. Close to 400 attended the event that supported two charities, Havens Hospices and Meningitis Now. Incredibly it is anticipated that £40,000 was raised on the night that will be split between the two charities.

Katie’s Dad was given the opportunity to tell Katie’s story to members of Southend United’s Consortium including chairman Justin Rees at a fundraising event. The evening, hosted by Barclays Bank,  raised over £13,000 an amount that was matched by the bank itself.

A group of Southend United fans that Katie’s Dad is part of have come up with a great initiative to raise funds for Little Havens. Most of the group are season tickets holders and if they are unable to attend a match their ticket is made available to the group. If it is used by someone else then £10 is paid to Little Havens for the privilege. In the last three seasons close to £402.50…

SUFC Shirt Raises Money In Auction – Posted in: articles

Katie’s Dad recently offered up for auction a signed Southend United shirt from 2009 that ironically he had won at the second Friends of Katie cricket match also in 2009. The photo shows the very generous winner and Southend legend Steve Walsh who won the auction which was in aid of Little Havens.

A Million Steps For Katie – £2,594 Raised – Posted in: articles

Katie’s Dad achieved his million steps target in 85 days but carried on to complete the three figures. Treasure Hunt – £3,000 Raised! – Posted in: articles

In September 2021 we held our first Treasure Hunt in aid of Little Havens and it was a great success with close to £3,000 being raised. The sun shone and almost 30 teams took part, although four have yet to return! Thanks to those who took part and to our sponsors and supporters too.
