The Saturday evening quiz raised £430 for LH & AIS at the Danbury Mission.
Sunday saw Friends of Katie complete the Southend Half Marathon for Little Havens.

Brigid & Tony completed the half marathon on a scorching Sunday morning. Brigid ran a time of 1 hour 40.26 and was third in the veteran's class. Tony, who is in training for a half ironman triathlon, finished in 1 hour 44.16.
Another Friend of Katie, Paul "Frank" Franklin (pictured)also completed the course in a time of 2 hours 11.50. This a great effort as not so long ago "Frank" was more accustomed to eating Marathons rather than running them.
The course after the start at Shoebury East Beach went through the Shoebury Garrison development, along the seafront taking in the newly opened Coastal Path and they finish back at the beach.
Although the event attracts professional athletes as well as novices, over the past 13 years it has raised a staggering £240,000 for Havens Hospices through sponsorship and donations, which incorporates Fair Havens Hospice and Little Havens Children's Hospice.
The third part of the charity trilogy in aid of Little Haven and Ambassadors in Sport is a Golf Day in early September.
